Reports

This module features standard reports, many of which can be configured to meet your needs, as well as generating information in OLAP (On Line Analytical Processing) format for Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing reporting.

Unique Features

Reports form the business intelligence of many organisations. They provide metrics on sales, distribution and internal operations. Some of the features that make this module unique are:

  • Report sheduling - reports can be scheduled to run at any time with any defined set of parameters
  • Report distribution - one or more recipients to be designated to receive copies of auto-scheduled reports
  • Configurable reports - fields to output can be user-configured for many of the reports on the system
  • OLAP cubes - data can be output in data cubes for analysis using third party tools
  • Control reports in PDF format - these reports have a standard layout and structure

Major Categories of Reports

Standard reports are grouped together under major headings to enable people to quickly and easily find the report they are looing for. The major categories are as follows:

  • Admin and Setup - series of reports on the base data that is used to operate the system
  • Payments - analysis of receipts
  • Sales and Distribution - examination of sales and delivery activity
  • Service - view of service and sanitisation performance
  • Stock - understand stocking levels
  • Agreements - contracts won/lost as well as trial agreements
  • Assets - review the status of all assets whether on site with customers, scheduled for delivery/return, or in a warehouse
  • Customer - everything from sales turnover to aged debt to statement production (for those customers who still require them!)
  • Debtors - analysis of debtor adjustments and system aged debt
  • Billing - analyses both invoiced income as well as potential income not yet invoiced
  • Journeys - journey performance
  • Month End - predictive reports as well as actual performance reports
  • Order Processing - analysis of order activity

OLAP Cubes/Business Intelligence

Cubes can be generated for use by a third party Business Intelligence tool. The primary cubes available from the system are:

  • Deliveries - POD information can be used to generate powerful reports on customer activity, distribution performance, fast moving products
  • Invoices - identify under-performing customers, fast moving product lines

Report Scheduling

Any report on the system can be schedule to run at a preset frequency using the following parameters:

  • Output format - formats include Spreadsheet, PDF and CSV
  • Template - user-defined configuration used for the report, i.e. the fields to include in the report
  • Run time - time at which the report should be run
  • Email as attachment - specify the recipients for the report when it runs
  • Specify frequency of recurrence - daily, weekly (specify the days of the week on which it should run), monthly (specify day or interval), annually (specify date)
  • Specify range of recurrence - date from which the report should start running, and date on which it should stop running
