There are a number of devices that have been tested and approved to work with Sentrio solutions. They include both rugged and non-rugged devices. Here at Sentrio, we can impartially advise you on the device that best suits your needs.
Rugged Devices
Symbol MC70
The Symbol MC70 is most commonly deployed in rugged environment such as on delivery vehicles. It is a wireless devices that operates over GPRS, and also includes an integrated barcode scanner. Its ruggedness means that it can withstand a range of operating temperatures and multiple drops from 1m onto concrete.
Zebra RW420
The Zebra RW420 is a rugged printer designed to cope with the harsh environments often encountered by field workers. It is a thermal printer that can be used to issue receipts that include printed customer signatures.
Non-Rugged Devices
XDA Mini S
The O2 XDA Mini S is one of the devices that has been found to work best with our solution. It is based on the HTC HyTn device and is available from most of the mobile phone network operators have a versino of this basic device including O2; T-Mobile; Orange; and Vodafone.
SPV3100
The Orange SPV M3100 is similar in form factor to the O2 XDA Mini S but is a 3G device. This means that it can exchange information with field workers faster than over GPRS (2.5G) networks.
